Stefany Wolfsohn

Dr. Stefany Wolfsohn is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and a lifelong resident of Ventura County. In September 2017, Dr. Wolfsohn founded the Ventura Center for Advanced Therapeutics where she has been able to offer her extensive experience, a compassionate bedside manner and an integrative approach to help patients who suffer from treatment-resistant mental health disorders, PTSD and chronic pain syndromes.

She is committed to providing the highest quality of care to her patients and has been a trusted resource for anesthesia services by local doctors and surgeons in the area since 2007.

She has worked across a broad spectrum of settings, including both in-hospital and outpatient surgery centers. A Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Wolfsohn has over a decade of experience providing anesthesia services and perioperative care to patients in a large interventional pain practice. She has administered ketamine (intravenous, intramuscular, intranasal and sublingual/oral) to thousands of patients for mental health and/or chronic pain conditions since 2007.

She is a member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners which is dedicated to the safe clinical use of ketamine for mental health disorders and pain conditions. She has completed advanced ketamine medical provider training with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in 2021 and is currently participating in the first cohort of a 12-month professional certificate training on psychedelic-assisted therapy with Psychedelics Today.

Since 2017, Dr. Wolfsohn has collaborated with several licensed mental health practitioners, healers and coaches to enrich the care provided to patients. This has led to the creation of a new, local professional community of individuals dedicated to the safe and ethical use of ketamine therapies in addition to the commitment to ongoing education and training for other psychedelic therapies that are expected to become available for clinical use in the near future. Dr. Wolfsohn moderates a monthly peer consultation group and facilitates advanced training opportunities to further the collective wisdom and experience of this local professional community.
